International Patient Guarantee & Dental Warranty Policy | Avangart Clinic
Comprehensive Guarantee Durations & Exact Coverage Terms
When you travel for treatment, it helps to know exactly what is covered by a guarantee or a warranty and for how long. This article explains your dental treatment journey and outlines our guarantee periods in a clear way, so you know what support may be available after treatment.
A guarantee period is not the same as the expected lifespan of a treatment. Long-term results depend on daily care, regular dental visits, and treatment that is performed by qualified physicians with the right planning and follow-up.
1. Dental Implant Systems
We use implant systems from trusted names such as Straumann, Implant Swiss, MegaGen, Meisinger, BEGO, Botiss, and Bioss. We also work with verified global dental partners, which helps us maintain clear standards for the materials and systems used in treatment.
In our policy, the implant screw is covered for fracture or breakage under its material warranty. We also provide a 10-year guarantee for the implant treatment itself. If an implant fails within that 10-year period, we will replace it once at no extra charge, as long as no exclusion applies and the case meets our guarantee terms.
2. Dental Crowns, Veneers, and Bridges
Crowns and bridges are covered by our guarantee for 5 years against breakage, chipping, and cement failure. If a small repair is needed and local treatment is appropriate, we may provide a one-time contribution of up to €100 toward care in your home country, such as re-cementing or a minor composite repair.
Laminate veneers are covered for 3 years for breakage, chipping, and cement failure. Where suitable, we may also offer a one-time contribution of up to €100 for minor local repairs, including re-bonding or small composite corrections.
3. Understanding the Difference: Implant Failure vs. Prosthetic/Crown Damage
Implant failure and prosthetic or crown damage are not the same thing, and the guarantee does not treat them in the same way. Implant failure relates to the implant itself and how it integrates in the bone, while prosthetic damage relates to the visible part, such as a crown, bridge, or veneer.
For that reason, each issue is reviewed under its own guarantee terms. A chipped crown does not always mean the implant has failed, and an implant problem does not always mean the outer restoration is damaged.
What Is Covered Under Your Guarantee?
Our guarantee covers specific problems that relate to the treatment itself and the materials used. This includes the types of issues listed in the policy for implants, crowns, bridges, laminate veneers, fillings, inlays, onlays, and dentures.
Structural Failures and Material Defects
Cover may apply where there is a clear structural problem, such as an implant screw fracture, breakage, chipping, cement failure, or a filling coming away from the natural tooth. Each case is reviewed carefully to confirm that the issue falls within the stated guarantee period and that no exclusion applies.
Surgical Revisions and Adjustments
If a covered issue needs further clinical attention, we will assess whether a repair, replacement, or minor adjustment is the most appropriate next step.
What Is NOT Covered Under Your Guarantee
Our guarantee does not cover every problem that may happen after treatment. It applies only to the issues listed in the policy, and it does not extend to problems caused by outside factors, changes in health, or a failure to follow aftercare instructions.
It also does not apply to treatment that was started by another dentist or clinic and only completed by us. In those cases, we cannot confirm the full clinical process from the beginning, so we are not able to provide guarantee cover.
Medical, Bone, and Gum Health Changes
The guarantee does not cover changes that occur as a result of the body’s natural response over time. This includes gum recession, changes in bone structure, and health conditions that may affect healing or the long-term stability of your oral health.
Accidental Damage and External Trauma
The guarantee does not cover damage caused by accidents or external force. This includes events such as sports injuries, falls, or traffic accidents that affect the teeth, restorations, or implants after treatment.
Conditions That Automatically Void the Guarantee
The guarantee may become invalid if aftercare advice is not followed. Poor oral hygiene, missing annual check-ups and professional cleaning, smoking-related complications, teeth grinding, and not wearing a recommended bite guard can all affect coverage.
Patient Responsibilities and How to Keep Your Guarantee Valid
Your guarantee is valid as long as you follow your dentist’s care advice and take proper care of your oral health. Good long-term results depend on regular care at home, routine check-ups, and taking the instructions seriously after treatment.
Immediate Post-Operative Care and Restrictions
The first stage after treatment is very important. You need to follow all post-treatment instructions carefully, including any advice about eating, cleaning, medication, healing time, and habits to avoid while the area settles.
Daily Oral Hygiene Requirements
Daily oral care is essential for protecting your treatment over the long term. Brushing thoroughly, cleaning around restorations properly, and maintaining good oral hygiene all contribute to the protection of your results and the terms of the guarantee.
International Aftercare Arrangements
We know that many international patients want clear support after they return home. That is why we aim to make follow-up support clear, practical, and easy to manage, so you know what to do if you need help after treatment. Our team will guide you through the next steps and explain when local support may be suitable and when care at our clinic may be needed.
The Claim Procedure, Transparent Replacement, and Remake Process
If you believe something may be covered by the guarantee, the best thing to do is tell us as soon as you notice it. The sooner we understand the issue, the easier it is for us to review it properly and explain what happens next.
Step 1: Initial Notification and Case Review.
Please contact us as soon as you notice a problem, rather than waiting for it to become worse. We will review the issue, check whether it may fall within the guarantee terms, and explain what information we need from you.
Step 2: Required Medical Documentation and X-Ray Submissions.
To assess the case fairly, we may ask for recent photos, dental records, or X-rays if these are needed for a proper clinical review. This helps our team understand the issue more clearly and decide whether local support, further monitoring, or treatment at our clinic is more appropriate.
Step 3: Travel and Treatment Coverage Logistics.
Once the case has been reviewed, we will explain which types of support are available under the guarantee terms. In some situations, a minor issue may be managed in your home country with a one-time contribution where appropriate. In other cases, especially where the restoration needs to be checked or remade by our clinical and laboratory team, treatment may need to take place in Turkey.
Step 4: The Remake or Replacement Phase.
If the case is confirmed as covered, we will arrange the appropriate corrective treatment based on the clinical need. This may involve a repair, a remake, or, in eligible implant cases, a one-time replacement under the terms of the guarantee.
Legal Disclaimers and Treatment Transparency
We believe patients should have clear information, realistic expectations, and honest guidance before treatment begins.
Patient Acknowledgment of Biological Risks
Every patient heals in a different way, and some outcomes are influenced by bone condition, gum health, and general medical factors. For that reason, some treatments, including root canal treatment, cannot be guaranteed in the same way as a material or restoration.
Guarantee and Medical Success Rates
A guarantee period is not the same as the expected lifespan of a treatment. It simply explains what may be covered within a stated time. Clinical success also depends on healing, oral hygiene, follow-up care, and the body’s response over time.
